Cookie Policy

  • Introduction

    This Cookie Policy ("Cookie Policy") describes why, how, and when JOY DEALER LLC ("JOY DEALER," "Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies, software development kits (SDKs), pixels, web beacons, tags, mobile advertising identifiers, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Tracking Technologies") on the JOY DEALER mobile application, related website, organizer dashboards, integrations, and other features (collectively, the "Platform").

    Capitalized terms not defined in this Cookie Policy have the meanings given in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, into which this Cookie Policy is incorporated by reference. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to our use of Tracking Technologies as described in this Cookie Policy. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent before placing non-essential Tracking Technologies on your device. If you access the Platform via any third-party application or site, the terms of that application or site also apply.

  • What Is a Cookie?

    A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your device by a website or mobile application. Cookies typically contain information that can later be read by the server that issued them, including session identifiers, preferences, and authentication tokens. Some Tracking Technologies are essential to the operation of the Platform and are always used; others are used only when you enable certain features or grant consent.

    Beyond traditional cookies, the Platform may use the following additional Tracking Technologies:

    • Software Development Kits (SDKs). Code libraries embedded in the JOY DEALER mobile application that collect device information, usage events, crash data, and similar information.

    • Pixels and Web Beacons. Tiny invisible images or scripts embedded in web pages or emails to record whether content was viewed and to deliver analytics.

    • Tags. Small snippets of code on a web page or in an application that trigger calls to analytics or advertising platforms.

    • Mobile Advertising Identifiers. Device-level identifiers (Apple IDFA, Google GAID) used for advertising measurement and personalization, subject to your device-level permissions.

    • Push Notification Tokens. Identifiers issued by Apple Push Notification service (APNs) or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) that allow us to send push notifications to your device.

    • Local Storage. On-device storage (such as iOS UserDefaults, Android SharedPreferences, or browser localStorage) used to remember preferences and session state.

  • JOY DEALER and our service providers use Tracking Technologies to:

    • operate, maintain, and secure the Platform and protect against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access;

    • remember your preferences, language, login state, and session context as you navigate the Platform;

    • measure and analyze how the Platform is used, including which Events, screens, and features are most popular;

    • improve the performance, reliability, and functionality of the Platform, including by diagnosing crashes and errors;

    • personalize content, Event recommendations, and your in-App experience;

    • deliver and measure targeted advertising (subject to your opt-out rights as described in our Targeted Ads Preferences); and

    • support the integrity of the Joy Points and Rankings system by detecting fraudulent or automated activity.

  • The Tracking Technologies used on the Platform fall into the following categories. Some are first-party (set or operated by JOY DEALER) and some are third-party (set or operated by our service providers or advertising partners).

    Essential / Strictly Necessary

    These Tracking Technologies are necessary for the Platform to function and cannot be disabled without breaking core features. They include session identifiers, authentication tokens, security cookies, load-balancing identifiers, and similar essentials. Examples include keeping you signed in to your Account, remembering your selected Event when you proceed to register, and protecting against cross-site request forgery.

    Analytics and Performance

    These Tracking Technologies help us understand how the Platform is used so that we can improve it. They collect information such as which screens you visit, which buttons you tap, how long sessions last, and where errors occur. We may use first-party analytics tools and third-party providers, including Google Analytics, Firebase, and similar services. To learn more about Google Analytics and to opt out, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. For mobile, you can also limit ad tracking through your device settings.

    Functionality and Preference

    These Tracking Technologies remember information you have entered or choices you have made (such as your username, language, region, or notification preferences) so that you do not have to set them again the next time you visit the Platform. These are typically persistent cookies or on-device local storage.

    Targeting and Advertising

    These Tracking Technologies are placed by advertising partners, advertising networks, or social-media platforms to deliver and measure interest-based advertising, both on the Platform and on other sites and apps. They typically rely on cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, and pixels. Some uses of these Tracking Technologies may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under applicable state privacy laws. For more information and to exercise your opt-out rights, see our Targeted Ads Preferences and Do Not Sell My Information notice. JOY DEALER honors the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal to the extent required by applicable law.

  • You can manage your use of many Tracking Technologies through the following means:

    Disabling Tracking Technologies may impair certain features of the Platform, including login, Event search, Joy Points accrual, and personalization. Users who disable Tracking Technologies assume the risk of any resulting reduction in functionality.

  • JOY DEALER may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post a prominent notice on the Platform before the change becomes effective. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Cookie Policy. If you do not agree to the revised Cookie Policy, your sole remedy is to discontinue use of the Platform.
